Future Plans

The past couple years we have been selling our fruit to a small family business that specializes in custom made jams and jellies to sell at the Farmers Markets. During this time we have watched their business increase with many satisfied repeat customers.  So we know there is a demand for our product. We think this might be another avenue for us to consider.

We have the perfect (for now) storage building that is located near the main road and we think we could convert it into a cute little country store complete with a small certified kitchen. With this in mind, we have been purchasing some essential pieces of used equipment along the way. We already have a walk-in for cold storage. But we still needed the kitchen equipment. Just recently we purchased a Wolfe restaurant stove and oven for candying nuts and making it possible to also add pies and breads to our product line. We have purchased a 30-quart freestanding cooker that can be used for the nuts as well as jams and jellies. With those two pieces of restaurant equipment we would create an outlet for all our second fruits and nuts, eliminating most of our waste. We are looking for the sinks, fans and tables needed to satisfy the health department. Slowly we are building our dream.
